Keith
Products manufactures its products pursuant to the Parts Manufacturing
Authority granted to it by the FAA. At our
facility on Addison Airport we maintain the capability to fabricate sheet
metal parts using CNC equipment, insuring accuracy and repeatability. All sheet metal parts undergo a chromate conversion process and are painted
with epoxy paints in our paint booth.
Keith Products also has the in house capability to fabricate plastic parts. These parts are vacuformed over molds and trimmed by hand. Our molds are stored in a climate-controlled room to insure that they remain in tolerance. Hose assemblies are manufactured in our hose shop where hydraulic swaging equipment is used to insure leak free assemblies. Every hose is individually tested for leaks and compliance with burst requirements. Condenser and evaporator coils, designed to our specifications, are integrated into assemblies under strict standards to insure optimum performance and leak free operation. Every coil is tested after each process and receives a final test in its final assembly configuration. Compressor assemblies and bleed air heaters are assembled in an isolated area to insure that dust and other foreign particles do not contaminate these items. Keeping these components isolated helps to insure a long trouble free life. Many air conditioning components require some low level assembly before subassemblies are combined into major components. Low-level operations include drilling and riveting, soldering, installing wire terminals, applying insulation and fastening components together with hardware. A thermal stamping machine that produces clear and permanent markings is used on all wire assemblies. Finally, major purchased parts (primarily motors and blowers) and subassemblies are combined to produce the major components. These include compressor/condenser assemblies, evaporators and duct assemblies. At Keith Products an Engineering Process Specification controls every manufacturing process. Electronic document control insures that each part is built to the latest standards and specifications. The work of our well-trained employees is checked by in progress inspections. Final inspection and acceptance testing with specialized test equipment is used to insure the proper operation of the major components.
