Engineering Designer/Drafter

Description:

Works directly with New Product Design and Project Engineering to develop system and component level design. This position requires a wide variety of design background in 3D parametric solid modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interfaces with Project Engineering for design of new product development
• Creates production ready drawings from solid models.
• Creates Purchased, Detail, Subassembly, Assembly and Installation drawings
• Interfaces with Manufacturing Engineering to design required tooling and fixtures.
• Interfaces with vendors and purchasing for new prototype purchased and outsourced parts.
• Creates illustrations for service bulletin and technical publications manuals including Illustrated Parts Catalogs and Component Maintenance Manuals.
• Assists with technical writing.
• Creates and maintains detailed bills of material
• Assists with the development of CNC flat patterns

Requirements and Skills:

• 3d parametric solid modeling design in Mechanical Desktop or Inventor
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
